Here We Go Again

http://www.consumerlifestyles.com-21.tv/report/green-bean-diet-exposed-m5.php?

Here's another "miracle" - this time it is for real - it's amazing - groundbreaking - incredible.

Another millionaire will be made by preying on people desperate to lose weight.

The obese will be thinking, "Finally, I will lose my weight and won't have to do anything." I won't have to do without eating as I please. They will buy this product and for a week or two get great results because they are also eating less (which could be the reason for the loss you think?). The new will wear off. They begin eating because of their emotional issues which will trump hunger every time. They will regain the weight and more and be even more miserable.

The morbidly obese do not overeat because they are physically hungry. I can out-eat any amount of exercising if I want. I can overeat whether I am hungry or not and that green coffee bean is not going to raise my metabolism enough to cure my emotional problems.

Take care.

  1. But...but...Dr. OZ said the green coffee bean IS a miracle weight loss product! Just like resveratrol...green tea extract...acai berries....raspberry ketones...and all the other things the lemmings can't wait to throw money at in the hopes that they can have their nachos and weigh 130lbs...!

    1. Desperation can make us do crazy things. I feel bad for the morbidly obese because it is pitiful and the emotional problems have to be overwhelming BUT---we have to get to the point where we resign ourselves to doing what's necessary to get the weight off and keep it off. Some never do. The misery the obese endure is so much more than what has to be endured to lose weight. They want something that is quick and easy and it just does not exist. Be careful out there today.

  2. It is crazy! Desperation can be a help or a blinding excuse.

    1. I know how it feels. Thank God I found my way out. I sure did spend a lot of years with binge eating, trying all the quick fixes, and any other promise about losing weight without doing it myself. I guess we have to live through some of that to come to our senses but it is maddening to see someone like Dr. Oz promoting something like this. Take care.

  3. 1) Thanks for commenting and sharing the video.
    2) I am not on a weight loss journey, but I am supportive of anyone who is. I have several friends who are on weight loss journeys. Just about all of them realize at some point that beating the food is only part of the battle. There was a reason that they started overeating in the first place. So, their posts are always a combo of staying on track in terms of exercise and healthy eating and cleaning out the mental debris.
    3) The rest of us all have other problems. It is something other than weight plus the mental debris... lol. Once you get that, you can start getting healthy. I am finally understanding that it is an ongoing battle. Stress is a truly terrible thing and learning to combat it is one of my most difficult (and ongoing) lessons. Hence my ongoing migraines. That is one of my problems plus the mental debris. Anyway, it is all about working it out to get to the healthy place.
    4) Have you ever tried yoga?

    1. I became interested in your blog because you struck me as a deep thinker and I like talking with those kinds of people. We all have our challenges as we go through life, weight is one of mine and yours is stress/fear. We can help each other I am sure. I have tried yoga but not lately. I am reading Emmet Fox who is more metaphysical. I like C. S. Lewis and Charles Fillmore. Have you read Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand or The Fountainhead by her? Great books. She wrote truly prescient books. Be careful out there today and welcome to my blog. I am looking forward to many more discussions with you.

    1. It is a great leap forward when we realize that this is for life not just until we get our weight off. It makes the normal weight fluctuations easier to bear as I have had to do after a disappointing loss this past week. It's a lifestyle change for me so I am not looking at a loss as a reward and a gain as a punishment anymore. I just continue. Take care.

  5. This stuff is just about the most annoying thing. It preys on those who are the most vulnerable to the message. It is disheartening when a seemingly reliable source puts it out there. I have found that over time you have to be vigilant, even if you have grown to like the source. Likable doesn't make truth. Seems all TV people jump the shark sooner or later...

    1. Dr. Oz should be ashamed to call himself a doctor and participate in this. The obese are messed up enough without him adding to their misery. Take care.
