Slimmer This Summer

This new challenge begins on Monday, June 6, and goes for 12 weeks. Click on the picture to the right. You may want to become a part of this exciting way to go to a new level in our weight loss efforts. My goals are:

I will be continuing low- carb and staying between 50 - 75 carbs per day.
I will continue with my present exercise regimen which is Step Aerobics on M - W - F and Jazzercise on
T - Th - S with rest day on Sunday.
I will drink 10 glasses of water per day.
I will lose 20 pounds which should put me below 200 (I will be really hard to live with at this point :-)

We are supposed to post progress reports which I will do.

  1. Great goals!! My sister does the low carb diet. :) Works great for her. I'd love to try jazzercise.Good luck in the challenge!

  2. Begin with the end in mind, indeed. And keep the target in focus. Absolutely. We have the power to do it!

    I do moderate carb (around 100). If I go over 150, my weight loss tends to stall. If I go under 100 I lose better, and moresoe at around 80, but I start getting dry mouth and I hate that. But definitely, I do better with a lower carb rate than normally recommended. My insulin resistance is a pain.

    Happy challenging. We'll make it!

Although, I’m a bit nervous about taking part in a challenge, I know that I’ll find the inspiration and support I need among new friends!   14. Excellent goals- sounds like you've got a good handle on this whole weight loss thing--I think I'm finally there---at the place where I will no longer sabotage myself.

    How exciting to be so close to going under the 200 mark. I hope to be there one day myself and I believe that this is the challenge to help!
